Formerly the Upton Golf Club, Sandals Golf & Country Club boasts one of the most popular golf courses in Jamaica. Many changes were made to the original nine-hole course, including its expansion into an 18-hole course and the replacement of the grass on the greens and fairways. The course offers many challenges including narrow fairways and small greens that drop-off abruptly across an undulating landscape. Although there are many beautiful views of both the sea and mountains to distract golfers, this course requires precision. Sandals Golf & Country Club also offers two practice areas, both with putting greens and chipping areas.

My wife and I have been playing this course since 2009, at least a min of 15 up to 30 times a year.
We know everyone by first name and everyone is super friendly. After all it is a Sandals property.
Our caddie is Wayne, all the time and he is family now.
I can probably chart every single hole yard by yard. Do not be fooled by this course, the sloping fairways will eat you up. When your caddie calls for a put, obey, period as the greens will break and you will leave scratching your head.
I have read where others have found rude people on this course, I know these people, they are extremely polite, I can only wonder how much of jerk someone had to be to tick them off.

Played here first week in April 2016. The course was in great shape and well maintained. Lots of cool trees and great views. We were a group of four and the caddies we had the first day were so fun that we asked to have them the entire week. Great service and we had no complaints.

We golfed here 3 times in March 2015 and had an amazing caddy, Fabian. The golf was great despite having not golfed since October (we are Canadian) and Fabian was very patient with us. We are booked up to revisit Sandals next week and are really hoping that Fabian will be our caddy again ,

Played two rounds on this course in August 2015 . It was in prime condition , expect the Greens was just punch . A lovely course with lots of undulation .

I played it just under two and a half hour . Staff was lovely and cordial , had a great caddie in Randall.

Would definite recommend this course once you,re Jamaica .

Golfed in Feb 2014. Was worried it would be too hot but a constant breeze was always blowing on the 2 games we played on different days. A lovely course with lots of undulation and great caddies. No slow play here and the caddies are great for communication with each other if there is slow play in front of you. You simply play through. Greens are bermuda and tough to read speed wise but caddies are a great help.

Played the course in 12/4/2013, It wasn't in prime condition, mostly because of the time of year. The staff was pleasant except for the lady behind the counter. Even at this time of year the cost was pretty high, $180 plus a caddy. Drinks after the round were very reasonable and a taxi back to my cruise ship was a fun and not too expensive ride.

There were only a few people on the course, so I played it in just over two hours. Didn't really take time to enjoy the beautiful surroundings.

I would rate it as a fairly easy course for a straight hitter. There are only a couple holes that the medium handicap player might have trouble reaching in regulation if playing decently that day.
